Technology ahead of the curve
Even our technology is geared to producing quality. From laser-guided technology to optimized head rigs, we take pride in providing the most advanced technology that meets your needs with more yield and less waste.
To ensure that Jones Lumber goes beyond required standards, we employ a third-party consultant to make monthly visits to our Natchez site.
Laser-Guided Technology
We use laser-guided technology for maximum log efficiency and precision cuts down to the micron.
Certified Inspectors
Our staff of NHLA certified inspectors ensures maximum wood quality and consistent quality on every order shipped.
Optimized Head Rig
Our Natchez Grade Mill is equipped with an optimized double cut head rig and thin kerf horizontal resaw, which produces 60,000 feet per shift. The optimized technology at our head rig, along with laser-guided technology at other machine centers, allows us to use each log more efficiently with less waste.
Kiln-Drying
At Jones, we are investing for the future with an additional 300,000’ of kiln capacity currently online. The additional kilns bring our total kiln capacity to 600,000’, ensuring we have the capacity to meet your needs. Our kilns are equipped with the latest probe technology, allowing us to monitor the drying process at all times, which ensures consistent drying and moisture content. Plus all our lumber is regraded after drying to account for defects during the drying process.
